FAQ
-
How old do you have to be to ride an electric scooter with Iguana Ride Curaçao?
You need to be at least 14 years old to ride an e-scooter solo on our tours. If you’re younger, you’re still welcome to join. Just hop on as a passenger in the back seat. Before we depart, we will walk you through safety rules, helmet fitting, basic controls, and a short test ride so you feel confident. Safety and fun go hand in hand.
-
Do I need prior scooter or motorcycle experience?
No, absolutely no experience is required. We design our tours so that even first-timers feel comfortable. Before every tour, you get a brief training session covering use of brakes, acceleration, turning, and road rules. Our guides stay close until you’re confident, and we keep the pace relaxed. Many of our guests had never driven a scooter before — and still enjoyed the ride.
-
Where do the tours start, and when should I arrive?
Every tour begins at Plaza Piar “Boogjes” in historic Willemstad. This spot is easy to find and centrally located. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early—this gives us time for registration, safety briefing, helmet fitting, and a quick test ride. If someone is late, it can delay the whole group, so a prompt start helps everyone enjoy the experience fully.
-
Can I transfer or change my booking to another person?
Yes, flexibility is important. You may transfer your booking to another individual as long as you notify us at least 24 hours before your scheduled tour. Please give us the new name, contact details, and any special requirements. Requests made within 24 hours of the tour can’t always be guaranteed, especially if logistics are already in motion. But we’ll always try to accommodate if possible.
